7 Holiday Miracles

I want to share the 7 miracles of recovery I witnessed this holiday season. 7 people moved from homelessness, drug use, and repeating memories of trauma to reunite with their families. Two gave birth to beautiful daughters and are living in stable homes with plans to return to employment. Three are raising their children for the first time in years while living in independent housing after fearing they would never be able to parent their children ever again. And two are thrilled to be doting grandparents, having reunited with their children for the first time in years. The amazing thing is that a year or two ago they were using heavily, homeless or close to being homeless, and supporting themselves any way they could. Their lives changes when they participated in a cognitive treatment to address memories of childhood trauma.

For those who doubt that the treatment I developed for adults who experienced severe trauma when young really works, just look at these miracles. For those who question how a treatment can help so quickly, just look at the wonder of moving from hopelessness to a new life so quickly — the change starts quickly and grows so that real progress usually occurs in 3-6 months.

These are not my only holiday miracles. Over 70% of the patients who participated in this cognitive treatment are progressing in recovery and personal growth.

You or someone you love could be the next miracle. Isn’t it time? Message or email me so we can set a time to talk. You can find your hidden door to healing, too.

Wishing you and your families a wonderful, healthy, and successful year free from the memories that have haunted you all your life.
